Politicians are mighty persons. They can decide where money goes. They can begin or support important developments in the school system. So have a look at the opinion of this politician in relation to a positive development of schools. We thank these politicians for their willingness to support our work in school.

The interview was done with Edward Riedl, politician in Umea
by four pupils in 5a at Minervaskolan.

 1. Will there be a "physical" school (a building) in the future? If yes, what will it look like?
- I think it is going to be almost like it is now.

2. Will there be teachers in the future? If yes, what will be their role?
- Yes. We will always need good teachers. And they will probably work with mostly the same things as they do now.

 3. Will there still be text books in the future or just computers?
- There will be both computers and text books, of course!

 4. What will be the important school subjects in the future?
- Reading, writing and counting will still be the basic skills.

 5. Will marks be given in the future?
- Yes, I hope so. Even younger pupils should get marks.

 6. What is your vision of the ideal school?
- The ideal school is developed in a free system where there is a kind of competition between lots of different schools, both public- and private schools.

 7. Is there anything else you would like to add?
- Yes. Schools should be financed from tax money. It´s important that
education is not depending on how rich you are.
